These are screenshots of the Vidya Sinha, Amol Palekar starer Rajnigandha (1974) from the Big Home Video DVD. As can be seen from the screenshots below, the transfer is uneven i.e extremely poor in some places (especially in fast movement scenes) and quite good in static scenes. This, thankfully being an Art movie is full of static scenes (very, very talky). Color faithfulness on the whole is excellent throughout the film. Audio (2.0 Mono) is distorted in a few places. English subtitles are present for the full movie including the songs. Watermarks are present occasionally (not part of the subtitle stream, so cannot be removed).

There are two other DVD's of this movie: Shemaroo and India Weekly. Could someone post screens from these two DVD's so that a comparison can be made?

About the movie: One of the finest Art movies to come out of Bollywood. Also happens to be Vidya Sinha's first film. This movie feels somewhat similar to Chhoti Si Baat (1975) [same cast, same director] but is not as cheerful as the latter.

The India Weekly DVD screenshots of this movie are available here: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=3510&hilit=jeevan&start=15 (Courtesy of armaan). Judging from the screens, the PQ isn't as sharp as the Big Home Video DVD.

armaan, could we have more information like audio, SL or DL, NTSC or PAL, progressive or interlaced, etc. of the IW DVD?

P.S: This leaves only the screenshots from the Shemaroo DVD. Hope someone will post them soon enough...
