The much awaited movie from "super star" Rajinikanth got released last week on DVD and i for some weird reason felt like owning ir right away. I now repent at my hastiness - for the film sucks upon second viewing. After 3 months of its theatrical release and mass hysteria , the film is a sour one in my collection ( perhaps it can be a gift to someone i love/hate ;) )

Anyways - the DVD for most parts look good , but in certain scenes the colours looked bad ( see screenshots), I will let you guys decide on it how it looks

BTW - Some of the screenshots could be potentia spoilers , so take care

depends on where you are. for north east, viva entertainment. If you are a retailer and will buy atleast 5 copies, approach them. otherwise, their price will be more than retail price

best sites....

http://www.anytamil.com
http://www.dvdunlimitedonline.com ( )
http://www.themahal.com

alphabetically ordered. Different people have different (good and bad) experience with these sites (or any site in general).

if you are in canada, get it from

explorefree.com

stay away from rest of the sites, cuz I know they are all pirated or sell used copy in shrink wrap.

thanks for the screenshot. I watched the movie in my home theatre (5 x 8 ft screen) and the PQ was awesome, but looking at the SS, this is one of the best SHIT from Ayngaran.

If you have SS for MX (Ayngaran) could please post it. I watch MX also in teh same screen and I liked the resolution much better than theatre, but would love to see the SS.

and sorry to ask you for SS, I am really committed myself to take IR music to other side of the planet, so every day I am doing one or the other work so I didnt get tiem to post SS in a while.

thanks. i dont know what happened to me, but the amount of time i spent on TIS is unbelievable. now that Ilistened to the songs probably 100 times, i dont even need the CD anymore. It just ringining in my brain.

I have asked Sound Engineer Ashok Shukla (for more than 100 hindi films and sound engineer for "OOmail Vizhigal" - he is an adherent fan of IR and he rank IR at the top of MDs followed by RDB) to review TIS CD. After 3 days, I called him to get the review and he said "I am still not over with the first two songs. Its hard to review, since each time I wanted to take a note, I am into the music, so I forget myself. give me couple of more days". Then I asked him "which song" and he said "both 1 and 2, it need multiple listening to understand"

Few NI customers bought it because I decorated my shop with TIS pictures, and ONLY TIS CD behind counter. they dont know IR but they came know the minute I say MD for Sadma. I will be getting reviews from this people.

If you are on tfm/yahoo group of IR, join. Different people are viewing TIS differently. There was a comparision between "Kothumbi" song and another song of Bach (called Flying bee) and that kindled few technical discussion and comparision between Bach and IR and the discussions are really great.

Last, just to divert you from TIS (and still keep you with IR), listen to it

Go to 11th song (Elephant Phunk Theme)

The song is from the movie Raghavendra (Rajni starrer) and its amazing how they "lifted" the tune!

I see that the telugu version is finally out. I would like to check this movie out as it sounds interesting. This DVD is by AP International - Is that Ayngaran?

Why didn't they just put Tamil and Telugu tracks onto one disc?
