Had a chance to watch this movie last night and it’s a relatively decent movie compared to the garbage that comes out every other week. A story well told without too much forced characters (well until the end anyway! ). I remember seeing a European language movie which is very similar to Gangster but can’t remember what it is or even the language! Anyone any ideas? BTW there is always a scene stealer in a movie and this one has Gulshan Grover – brilliant for all the 2 mins his in it

DVD source is pretty dismal, I don’t think I’ve seen a bad DVD as this since Chandi Bar DVD. Gangster has loads of night/dark shot scene which are very poorly done on the DVD. Good movie, crap DVD as usual.

Some trivia on imdb.com;
Quote:
• Based on the life of Abu Salim and Monica Bedi.
• John Abraham and Sanjay Dutt were considered for roles in this movie.
• Pakistani cricket player, Shoaib Akhtar, was offered a role in this movie but turned it down.

totally agree with u an excellent movie with good all round performances by everyone...i have to say the female lead in particular delivered a top notch performance by a newcomer that hasn't been matched by any female newcomer in recent times !!!

I just recently bought this dvd after watching the film when it first came out in 2006 and the dvd is absolutely horrible. The dark scenes are pitch black and the film has a blue tint throughout...what was ADLABS thinking? Is their a better version of this dvd avaliable?

The movie is definitely above average. Shiny and Kangana really rocked. Emran not so much. Seoul provided something different and fresh than the usual European locations. Worth a watch!
