All companies that VCDs before and have now jumped onto the DVD bang wagon have not a single clue as to what DVD is. Companies like Bombino, T-Series, Baba (I think was VCD b4) and now Ultra. These companies make DVDs just like their VCDs and think that just because the movies are being *copied* onto DVD they will be magnificent! and on the back of their DVDs that the result of their DVDs is the best possible experience anyone can possibly view in their home theatre :baaa: :stupid: :bangbang:

VCDs converted to DVD can not be as bad as what I got.

I found a music video DVD which had the music video that I had been looking for, for long time. It was a genuine release from a big Indian music company. I say, it was a genuine release, as it not only had the company logos; it also had a genuine $5 coupon for the next purchase. The video quality varied with different tracks. The worst video was for the songs for which I had bought this DVD. ALISHA’s Made in India. Well, forget about Video, the least I expected was a decent CD quality Audio or at least an Indian VHS standard Audio. What it had was not even DOLBY, the standard format for DVDs. It had awful MPEG2 or something, worst audio than audio on Indian VHS. My taped from TV VHS copy (must have been transferred from PAL to NTSC) has a better Audio and Video than what is in this DVD.

The DVD is #001, officially released by MAGNASOUND. Title is something like Smash Hits ---- (Daler Mehndi on the cover). There also is Vol 2 of this title that I have no intention to get.

It's not really a new company......they had released the DVD of Makdee before, and have released some DVDs in India - Sholay is one of them, and screen shots from that version are posted somewhere in the forums.
