Doesn't the Ayngaran DVD have 5.1 sound?

dose shemroo dvds have there name on the left hand corner on all of the movies when you are watching the movie

Yaar how come no one gives any importance to sound here. Please comment on the sound quality and whether it is in real 5.1 or not. In a music DVD this would be of the utmost importance I would think, not that it is not important for movie DVDs.

I haven't seen the Ayngaran's Indian dvd. I am glad to find out that its out there and hopefully in 5.1.

Well!! as NONE OF THE PUNDITS OFFERED ANY COMMENTS! Comparing Shots from SHEMAROO/EROS TAAL..

**** MIND U, SHEMAROO REHMAN SONGS..MIGHT MOST LIKELY will be COMPROMISED for COMPARISON? I EXPECT ORIG DVD TO BE LOT BETTR!

NOW ..EROS..PROS..PROg(but lousy transfer), GOOD SHARPNESS, LESS ARTIFACTS, DECENT COLORS( Mute point, but, i liked EROS 5.1 sound VERY MUCH on TAAL), WIDESCREEN, ANAMORPHIC(NOT CROPPED)

EROS..CONS: MUDDY, MURKY DETAILS , and CONTRASTS, esp, if U look at DUPATA EDGE DETAILS on these 2 IMAGES BELOW:

SHEMAROO..SHOWS..CROPPED IMAGE/NON ANAMORPHIC, SOFTER PICTURE, BUT MORE DETAILS!!and BETTER COLOR FIDELITY! but this one is INTERLACED(FIELD AVERAGED) I BET SHEMAROO TAAL, should be PSEUDO PROG, 2 layers, with HIGH BIT RATE!

Arsh, how was the sound on the Shemaroo dvd, mainly for the Taal songs. I recently ordered Taal from IW just to listen to ARR's music in glorious 5.1 cuz the film is crap. Anyway, IW sent me the Shemaroo version instead of the Eros/B4U one. So I'm wondering if I should bother returning it. Picture is pretty bad on both imo, but at least the Eros one is anamorphic. If the Shemaroo version doesn't have good sound then I'm gonna have to speak to Afzal (whose number I can't find). Please let me know asap, thanks.

I'm puzzled with Malfunxion's comments about Taal.

Arsh has posted comparative screen caps of EROS-B4U Taal and from Taal songs in Shemaroo AR Rehmaan DVD. The screen shots look about same qualitry. In some respects EROS and in other respect it's Shemaroo.

Now, cosidering that AR Rehmaan DVD has copied, not replicated, songs in field average interlace mode and at a lower bit rate, the original Shemaroo Taal, which is Pseudo-progressive, should be better. Shemaroo Taal should have same PQ as other Shemaroo Ghai collection. I'm trying to get one Shemaroo Taal, directly from India.

Well, I don't want to open it if it will create return problems. Will IW exchange it after it's opened?
