I don’t remember ever getting so excited over a film as much as watching this trailer of Kaante – no, not even Spiderman trailer came close :p

Get it here! (3.6mb, realplayer needed)

..contains at the end the best picture award which went to Lagaan. The Kaante trailer is about 3 minutes long

Now also here; http://briefcase.yahoo.com/zulm_net (send me your yahoo ID to access it)

BTW if the story follows RS to the dot, then the trailer contains spoliers! so be warned.

Man i can hardly sleep now... its Amazing to know how such a Bollywood movie can cause me such a stir.. this movie looks awesome.. It just shows how the crappy films such as gadar, yaadein, kranti, indian etc are pathetic compared to such droolers such as this.. me just hopes it keeps up to expectations..!!

Sunjay and AB, this looks the business  Trailer does look too cool. Does anyone know how much satellite TV costs in the UK? I’m looking to get some of the Bollywood channels.

I have seen brill trailers before but the film turns out totally CRAP!!

Guys, after watching the trailor I want to make 2 observations :-

1.) Its been ages since Kumar Gaurav and Sanjay Dutt have appeared together in a film ...

2.) Secondly did you guys notice a subtle change...AB always uses his left hand when he fires with his revolver , but this time it is Sanjay Dutt using his left hand and AB using his right hand !

BTW Lucky ali looks cool in the film..Hope there are a couple of songs of his in the film also !

FADDY for the umpteenth time :D we all know why u dont like GADAR ;)

That is exactly what I have been saying about this director and his films. Almost all his films so far have been absolute crap, maybe one or two were just about mediocre at best. So why is everyone so excited about 'Kaante'? To me it looks like another well marketed and publicized film from Sanjay Gupta, like all his others, but when the final product is released it will most probably be as crap as the rest of them.

I know all of his films have been box office duds, but I did enjoy the b-flick Aatish, his first big budget production Ram Shastra, and Hamesha (a decent romantic tale). In fact his films have repetative value, which turns in some cash for the financers and producers. I guess that is why he is still given high-budget productions. His technical details are high class and no doubt Kaante will look better then Ringo Lam's City On Fire, and QT's Reservoir Dogs. (lets hope the screenplay is just as good)

Ripped from rediff.com:

Kaante or Pricks

You'd never guess what Sanjay Gupta planned to call the international version of Kaante.

Pricks!

Thankfully better sense prevailed.

how can u already write of Kaante.. come of it Sanjay gupta is well known for his action flicks... and this is what this is a sheer action flick!! Look at Ashutosh Gowarikar.. he never created a half decent film before Lagaan, but made a near perfect film with Lagaan!! it all boils down to financial backing, technical excellence and the actors!! With a technical team from hollywood, a star cast to actually make u shiver and an excellent soundtrack with some slickness thrown in, what more cud u want.. Pity u guys havent got the chance to see the pre production promos for the movie by white feather movies "Plan".. it stars Sanjay Dutt, and the new five newcomers from filhaal, raaz, and some other new movies.. dont really know their names!! but this movie has got some balls too.. this is gonna be just as good as movie!! The plot line basically is 6 small time gunda move to Mumbai and decide to hold a business man to ransom, so they pick the first slick dude up of the streets.. this guy turns out to be Musa Bhai aka Mumbai ka Aik Number Don!! Pity Ali never captured the whole sequence, it really made u drool with the cinematography and quality action sequence.. and on top of that Sanju looks the business as Musa Bhai!! Sanjay Gupta has definately got some corkers up his sleave!!

I put a higher quality (trailer only) version with all crap edited out (like the SETA logo :p ); to access it you need a yahoo account. Either send me your yahoo id via email: ali@zulm.net or send a private message on this board. I need the yahoo ID to give access to the yahoo briefcase online which has the trailer;

Oh about why I it got me excited. Well Reservoir Dogs is one my all time favourite movies and it with AB and Sanjay Dutt in there has to be event not to be missed! The film looks very stylised. I know Sunjay Gupta imitates rather than think of anything original – but one film than needs an Indian movie imitation is Reservoir Dogs. I’ve seen City on Fire too and the same story is told from a different perspective with Chow Yun Fat portraying a very emotional character and the film giving a more broader few of events leading up to the bank robbery. Reservoir Dogs on the other hand was very focused on its characters with dialogues driving the thriller. Kaante itself can give a different perspective to the story too. I just loved the bit when AB says there’s not to be any mistakes – then goes on about the Italians, Colombians and the Chinese. I think someone else mentioned Anurag Kashyap is writing the film's dialogues and screenplay – who did Shool and Satya before this. Kaante has potential and hope it lives up to it, although I don’t think its ever going to match its over hyped image.

I buzzed of the way ABs mentions

"The Italians have the Mafia, The Columbians have the Cartels and The Chinese have the Triads.. Us indians, no one will ever look at us!!"

A classic dialogue in itself!! :DD:

me cant wait......

Grab the song and video here! (3.6Mb real player - original divx5 is 30mb, if anyone has ftp space then I can give)

...looks like this will down the route of Company with songs.
