Theater: Big Cinemas Columbia Park 12 NJ (Digital Projection)

The story of PAIYA is nothing new. Hero trying to save the heroine from the hands of baddies. If you enjoyed RUN and Sandaikozhi you will enjoy this film.

Positives:

Karthi - Good screen presence. Shines in fight scenes.

Tammana- Very pretty.. good dancer... good performance..

Editing: The film never drags...

Songs: YSR scored another excellent album

Cinematography: Excellent canning of chases, fights, and songs..

Action : Kanal Kannan did excellent job with the fights and chases. The fight before the intermission with the car drifting... SUPERB!

Negatives:

Miland Soman: i didn't really feel him as a bad ass villain..

Story: old story...told and retold many times....

Overall Paisa Vasool....

P.S. Digital Projection is a God send for Indian film exhibition in the US. Excellent projection and surround sound.

Paiyaa - Expected to be a garbage and beat my expectations. Karthik proved that he cant act and he can only smile the way he smiled in his first movie. he need a break.

Angadi Theru - Expected to be a mediocre, but turned out to be very good. I thought this will be just another thirunelveli movie, but this movie brings a different angle to whats going on in all popular stores in Rangachari st and more importantly picturizes the life of young kids working there.

I particularly liked the climax, even though its miserable, life goes on with little little happiness that are always plenty in India.

I hated Veyyil and had reservation to watch another movie from same director, but hats off to him for taking this movie.
