The DVD is available for pre order from India Weekly. The DVD surely has not released in the USA yet.

Actually, Nehaflix.com just listed it as in stock last night.

IndiaWeekly.Com website and the company is messed up .. When others say items are instock they put up as pre-order :? When it does come into stock on the DVD page new releases are listed under: New In DVD (Old). I emailed them several times and they fixed only to come back to making the same mistake again 2 weeks later! Idiots!

I picked it up today in my local Hindi DVD shop and the sound is terrible. During the songs, the front channels are very muted to the point that the background noise overpowers the music greatly. Pretty awful.

Also, my DVD has a slightly different rear cover than the one pictured here and the run time is listed as 137 min and not 132 min, both of which seem shorter than what I remember in the theater.

Is this movie any good? Got this DVD as a "compliment" to attend some "IT" seminar. Cant expect much from Mumbai anyways, but wondering if this is worth watching. Hopefully this is better than the seminar!

Not bad when compared to the Malayalam version (which was excellent btw), but does not reach 'good' either. The last speech from SRK saves it as well as Irrfan's acting.

The main thing I noted was that Mammoootty's dialogues and responses to some of the questions he gets from the various village folk were just more intelligent, thoughtful and well spoken in the malayalam version than SRK's in Billu. SRK's answers actually seemed farfetched, made up and a bit corny except for the finale. Authenticity always has a lot going for it I guess. :?
