It is coming from YRF sometime in the future; it was passed through the UK censor board for Video release by Yash Raj Films in March;

I have said this before about this DVD :ffs: :(Click Here) and I will say it again :ffs: this DVD is cut...for one scene, just look at the antakshari song that Anupam and Sri Devi sing when Anil Kapoor is upset.

All Samrat DVDs are cut...Hero No.1 and Kabzaa are ones that I have from them and they are both cut by approx. 10mins!!!!!! :ffs: :ffs: :ffs

Hello all - I rented the miserable Samrat version last night and couldnt even hear much audio (everything is muffled) - the scenes are so dark and at times you mistake one character for the other due to the poor transfer. Yes, its THAT bad.

I heard that Media Digital's rights over this movie expires this year. Any idea if YRF will get off their asses and give us a proper version? Just because a film of theirs flopped, they shouldn't insist on giving us a sub-standard DVD of the movie. I'm beginning to wonder if a good print of 'Lamhe' is available even to the director! Perhaps it doesnt exist.

By the way, I LOVE the movie. Any other 'Lamhe' fans here?

Yeah Lamhe is a classic love story in my opinion, and is one of the two most underrated movie of all time - besides Silsila of course. Both movies had stories way ahead of their times and there was no way that a major audience would ever be able to accept them (its funny how well-regarded Silsila is now).

And Anil Kapoor and Yash Chopra have never been better.

I'll even go far to say that besides that this may be the best film that Yash has directed, and wonder if he'll ever the guts to make a film this daring yet again (perhaps with SRK this time).

Hmmm, I think if he redid it, he should NOT do it with SRK. I like SRK but I think hes shown his face a little too much. Of course if there are any psycho SRK fans here please forgive me for saying this. The last year has been a horrible year as we had to watch 2 SRK films where he goes through an ELABORATE DEATH PROCESS. Its just too much. He makes me sick now.

If 'Lamhe' was remade they should work on the editing a little more. From what I realize watching Lamhe last night, the editing is very choppy, and there are too many songs one after the other in the first half. Also, I dont know if ANY of you realized this, but Sridevi's Hindi has this very comical Madrasi accent - she sounds completely South Indian, and not at all 'Rajasthani'. This was the main drawback for me - I don't know, shes sounded convincing in other films though.

By the way, the opening credits for Lamhe have got to be the worst, - the slides that announce 'Associate Producer' and 'Visual Director' etc are so dirty - one even had a portion of a smashed bug or something. WAKE UP YASH!!

If it was remade today they should cast Arjun Rampal in the Deepak role, and change Sridevi's name to something other than 'Pallo'. Argh.

Yash Raj Films passed Lamhe through British censors back in March 2002 but the DVD still hasn’t appeared – it will one day!
