The French release by Carlotta is an NTSC-to-PAL conversion from the Eros DVD.

The DEI dvd of Mother India states the film running time as 175 minutes and the Eros dvd cover states it as 163 minutes is the Eros dvd cut?

Can someone reload shots from the DEi edition? Is there a thread with the shots from Carlotta constructed here?

Yup. I did have this DVD, actually I still have the cover but threw the disc away after the EROS and DEI versions were released. It is a bad DVD. Cropped to make it widescreen and non-anamorphic so you had to manually zoom to get rid of the top/bottom black bars. Not sure why this was ever released as it was quite pointless. The DVD back cover states menu for songs only and as far as I recall it had no subtitles. It was one of the first DVDs that I bough so I can't remember much else about it aside from being shocked that it was a cheap manual cropping job (I was easily shocked back then). Having said that, I wonder if it was the full movie? Too late now to go back and find out.

Nope - it was a pirate I guess (or not official). Plus - Mother India was always full screen, so run away from anything that says widescreen (I guess I started learning about what to avoid after my first few Indian DVD purchases).

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Mother India cropped for 70mm screening in the 80s? So they might've used that source.
I'm still waiting for a decent print. DEi, apparently had VHS-based quality, and Eros is softish (I have a stupid field averaged edition by Eros, bought in India.)
