Kyon Ki is listed in the section Just Arrived & not pre-order. I know on the website http://www.desino1.com , they usually do place pre-order if the DVD is not out in the market. I do know other sites do place dvd's ready to order when it is not really open to the market as of yet. I personally have not seen it on the shelves as of yet as my local DVD provider does take several days after the initial release to place on their shelves.

Ok, I've heard that this DVD has scenes missing from it which sucks! For those who have the DVD, does the Salman-Rimii love story begin at 'Dil Keh Raha Hai' or are there scenes before it? Like the first time Salman saw Rimii at the restaraunt? When he saw her from behind the counter and stopped eating and had his mouth open lol and was walking towards her with his mouth wide open and the fork half way there? And what about Jackie's intro? When he's sitting on his porch reading the paper and Om Puri comes for him? What about when Kareena is reading Karan's letters?

Tell you about the film itself or the parts that were cut out?

I had already ordered my DVD and when I heard many scenes were missing, I cancelled it. I loved the movie and I would definately love to have the DVD but not if it has missing pieces

The DVD is 155 min and doesn't have these scenes. There are no extras.
I don't remember, how long the film was in theatre, but faintly do recall these scenes. As presented in the DVD, Salman-Rimi chapter does look abrupt.

The way shown in DVD, Jacki Shroff, just pops out of Om Puri's car. Shroff's is a major role, sure deserved better intro.

Although I, and perhaps the audiences too, found the film too slow in the theatre and hence they must have cut a few scenes. No problem if the cut scenes in the theatrical version to make the plot move faster, but for the home version, longer version is the right thing. We always can fast forward boring scenes ourselves.

When will they figure out that theatrical release needs to be fast paced, and the home version extended version. But, they have figured it out the other way around.

BTW, WEG DVD is good Pseudo-Progressive. Pixel comparing routines should be able to detect 2-3 pull down to output Progressive signal.

I rented the DVD and the movie was 2 hours 34 minutes when the theatrical print was about 3 hours (give or take a few minutes) Scenes seemed rushed where they were cut, like in the beginning Kareena gets a letter from her friend Karan.. that scene was not in the DVD print.. or like when Jackie just comes out of nowhere out of Om Puri's car (he has his own intro into the movie and a few scenes with Om Puri before they reach the clinic) and the most rushed of all is the Salman-Rimii love story. They just go straight to Dil Keh Raha Hai.. there were several scenes before that that were cut out of the DVD print, like when he first saw her and when she first saw him and those were well shot scenes, which made the story flow better than it does just cutting to the song..
