has anyone ever shopped from them? they have quite a few yrf movies like kuch kuch hota hai, k3g, mohabbatein and even some eros titles like chalte chalte and more. apparently they come with dutch 2.0 and hindi 5.1 .. i think it would be worth checking out but the site is in german or dutch :roll: so anyone else willing to give a try .. maybe the quality is better .. dont know :?

Check out a link of Kal Ho Na Ho from their site, i think its the cover art: Indian Love Story

There are some covers of these german movies on cdcovers.cc .. i'll post some tomorrow.

Dil Se;

Ton: Hindi DD 5.1, DTS :shock: Bildformat:2,35:1 (16:9 anamorph)

- surely has to be different from the DEI/Eros DVD which was non-anamorphic cropped and 5.1 Hindi only.

where did you read that, ali? I didn't see any dvd specs for Dil Se and many other titles. Infact, I don't remember seeing specs for any of them.

Didn't EROS/B4U release an anamorphic edition post DEI/EROS break? (It could be the same to same transfer)

I emailed them. See if they respond - assuming they understand the email :lol:

Most of those DVDs seem to have Dutch subtitles options so they must have redone them at some point. Depending on the integrity of the outfit they've either rehashed and reprocessed current VHS/DVDs to sting people by adding DTS logos the same way your friendly neighbourhood desi pirate store does or they’ve genuinely re-mastered DVDs from scratch.

Scepticism and cynicism are on a code red alert :nopity:

I found this DVD for sale on ebay.ca in Germany. I have emailed the person asking them about the dts factor and if its dts in dutch only or hindi as well .. and what about the 5.1 english. I am wondering what the postage would be from german. The item is listed again in german so i cant read that either :roll:

You can use Google language tools page for translations, but it doesn’t give much information even after the translation.

A while ago, I ordered their DVDs of Dil Se, Main Hoon Na and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Put simply, they're all absolutely dreadful.

Dil Se and Main Hoon Na are even worse than their Eros/B4U counterparts. Picture quality is very dark with contrast too high and colours washed out. The Hindi audio is distorted to hell (no DTS on either).

KKHH isn't too bad, but it just features the same transfer as the YRF DVD with a half-hearted attempt at improving the colour and sharpness. The 5.1 audio sounds very weak.

Looks like yet another label to avoid. :?

rapideyemovies.de is legit. The company is listed on the Yash Raj Films website. Look on the news section, and the Mohabbatein DVD which just released in Germany is number 4 on the DVD sales chart with Batman returns being number 1.

Got a reply from them, not that it matters much now;

Quote:
all our DVDs are in perfect qualtity with a lot of bonus features like making of, interviews etc.

I guess the Germany idea of 'perfect qualtity [sic]' differs hugely from ours :roll:
