I don't generally watch Ramgopal Varma related trailors. I don't need to, plus I don't want to spoil even a frame ;)

I watched Govinda Govinda when I was a young lad on VHS at my uncles pad. What's wrong with it?? It's good if my memory serves me right. Listen to the freaking music that RGV extracted from Raj-Koti!!! Raj-Koti's BEST work till date. I have the crappy SDFC dvd. I'm hoping for miracles before I start watching films like Company/Bhoot/Kaun/GovindaGovinda/AnaganagaOkaRoju/Antham/Gaayam (seen gaayam on VHS long while back, I like it! extracted a good performance from a bad actor). My fav film of his is Shiva!! 8)

Idiot: You said that you would make a film against media? Will you show media in bad light?
Ramu: Yes. Media is going to be the villain in that film.

LMAO - awesome!! i jacked the quote from a link that Mola Ram provided in the Chandramukhi thread, but figured this quote belongs here

Nice film but:

To all the Cinematography Gurus:

But, in my opinion "frame after frame after frame" is flawed in SARKAAR.

Is it a given that a 2.35:1 framing pans shots starting with 2nd shirt button at the bottom of the screen and cutting off just above the eyes at the top of the frame (heads chopped off)??

For the same zoom, I'd rather prefer shots to have started at the chin, at the bottom of the screen and covering more at the top of the screen, including as much as possible of the hair/ head.

Actually that is standard composition for extreme closeups in the 'scope aspect ratio:

For an even closer composition some of the chin is cropped as well.

This shot crops some of the chin and includes more forehead, presumably to show the lines in the forehead of this actor.
