If this is a screenshot from the scene I think it is, than for the record -- its one of the most disturbing, uncalled for scenes in movie history. :bangbang: :ffs:

By Warner home video, just released R1

Earth
The movie opens in Lahore of 1947 before India and Pakistan became independent. It is a cosmopolitan city, depicted by the coterie of working class friends who are from different religions. The rest of the movie chronicles the fate of this group and the maddening religious that sweeps even this city as the partition of the two countries is decided and Lahore is given to Pakistan.

Saw this Warner release version (Fire, Earth) on rental shelf. Hoping that it'll be a Warner/ Hollywood standard transfer, I'll pick it up on rental next time it's avail. Rental is steep though. $ 5.99 each. No regretts if it turns out to be Progressive ??

Finally, after waiting for a month got hold of Warner released Fire on rental. Packaging has Warner all over it but the disc is the same New Yorker release crap disc. 100% interlaced and not anamorphic. Disc has "Seville 84199" (font 4 aprox) marked on it against reddish background.

I went back to Blockbuster about getting a New Yorker disc in Warner Brothers package. He too got suspicuous that someone exchanged the disc. Opened a $ 50 sealed 2 disc (Earth, Fire) package to check and that too had same disc.

Wow! Warner Brothers adopting Indian DVD standards.
