Recently, I came across three movies on single layered DVDs (I think, all of them were original).
They are Chameli (Venus/Rainbow), LOC(Eros-2 disks) and Jaago (Venus/Rainbow).

Is there a real big difference in the price between single layered and double layered dvd media?

If you find these movies on 2 in 1 on a double layered dvd (like complete LOC on one dvd OR Jaago with some combination OR Chameli with some combination), I don't think there should be difference in the quality :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: between the original and the 2in1 for this movies.

By the way, you might like "Jaago" (songless movie), if you have enjoyed Marte Dam Tak, Tiranga and Krantiveer (all films by Mehul Kumar) in the past.

Except for BEI, all Indian DVD companies use up only about 6 GB of disc space, where as over 8 GB is available in dual layer discs. To save money, they use Silver media discs that rot within a few months.

The same 6 GB of encoding will take up less than 4.7 GB space if encoded in 24 fps (Progressive). I think, Progressive 4.7 GB encoding will give a better picture than 6 GB or even 8 GB interlaced encoding.
On top, Single Layer discs don't rot.
