yes, movie is good. Though I think it could've been better if they replace the song "pyar bhara geet" with "khush rehna".

character? good? movie? LOC was the worst piece of s*** last year. On top of that, it embarassed every single soldier it represented. Really, they seemed to attack the same damn bunker.

Not only the worst piece of garbage craped out of Bollywood last year, but I also believe its one of the worst Indian Film ever made.

! :D Masti Man, Pillairaj, faddy and DVD Collector you guys are right on the money, the most agonizing 144mins of my life. Utter crap! Man we do have some superhuman soldiers, these guys take upwards of a dozen bullets smack in the chest and just shake the effects off. These Pakistani bullets mind you are a tonic, once it hit it's mark, releases some kind of potent elixir that galvanize these soldiers to single handedly charge a bunker and kill as many of its defenders as bullets in his chest. I did mention 144 mins right? Well for the remainder of the 100 or so mins, mercifully my phone rang and I was able to engage the unwitting caller in 100 mins of meaningless conversation. Didn't have the heart to stop the movie afterall it was a star studded affair! :P

Hi,

I have slightly different views on the Eros 2-disc LOC.
LOC 2-disc edition is one of the better DVDs I own... really, there is very little edge enhancement... I really liked the transfer too. And the audio sounds so much better than several other Bollywood DVDs. The bullets sound so real and the very first shot makes you flinch and shift in your seat to "avoid" the bullet... the 5.1 mix is very well done. Plus there's the fabulous booklet describing the real and reel war...

There is a single disc edition available too from HMV UK and amazon.co.uk.

The theatrical release too had some lip-sync problems so it's not a DVDdefect.

One scene shown initially in the theatres in India (not sure if shown in theatres abroad) but never shown again on TV or DVD is when Manoj Bajpai and Ashutosh Rana are talking while travelling in the army convoy... towards the end, Rana naughtily says "Pakistanion kee ****" and when Bajpai glares at him, Rana says "Sorry sorry.."

A friend of mine insists he saw a small sequence of an air raid in the climax... I donn remeber this scene... does anyone...?

There's another dvd of L.O.C. Kargil now in India -- by moserbaer! MB seem to have bought rights to most of JP Dutta and BR Films... at least for a while.

moserbaer kargil dvd cover says "produced by bindiya goswami" ;-)

I too have the collector's edition 2disc set in a long rectangular booklet with many many pages...the discs are in plastic and then in a cardboard sleeve inside opening & ending covers of the whole thing...then the whole thing slides in a pouch for whole...

still haven't even seen the film...it's been sitting on my shelf for ages...but i thought the movie was 245 minutes or something, not 300?
