Just wondering what you are doing with these problematic dvds? I just received my Satta DVD (by Spark, definitely not a boot) and a couple
of players had problems playing it. It is silver media :-(
It either freezes, does not play at all or it cannot read the disc correctly.
A lot of problems are near the layer change. There are no apparent scratches.
I contacted the dealer and see what they say.

But apart from that, aren't there any other possibilities to rescue these discs.

Dr. Skip or whatever doesn't work.
DVD X Rescue, that didn't work for me either.
still looking around...

Nothing can sort out badly bonded layers and DVD rot apart from these shoddy bollywood companies being reported to Trading Standards offices (in the UK) and the equivalent in the US.

Using better quality media would be a start.

The best thing to do is stop buying the pathetic DVDs and start copying errr backing up the DVDs!!!
