I created compilation of Hindi song using the same method as explained by urbanlegend, but the DVD player stops after playing each song and you have to hit the next button to move to the next one. I think the problem is it created different sections for each song. I don't know if I'm doing anything wrong. Let me know if you have the same problem... :hmm:

My DVD player is a Panasonic RP82 and it plays the files perfectly. In between songs there is less than a sec delay and it continues. I think it may be your player, it may have a problem of reading several titles on one DVD. DVD Shrink does not create one Title with all songs in it, it creates one title for each song, ie 24 songs, 24 titles. Some older players have difficulties playing these or self authored DVDRs, DVDRs made on cheap media (my Pioneer is like that). Even some of the new DVD players that cheap have a hard time. Once you find the right media that works with your player stick with it, personally I use Maxell/Memorex DVD+Rs.

BTW....hopefully the new version, due possibly in New Year (keep your fingers crossed), will fix the problem of several Titles and just have one Title, ie. 24 Songs/Title 1 vs 24 Songs/24 Titles.

VCD Hmmm I have burned many Indian DVDs and even checked them on a 42inch tv and they looked very good pixelation wasnt visible, on the odd few yes. Faddy, its definetly a step down when converting from DVD9 to DVD5, but no way is it VCD like. I once tried to back up Satyam Shivam Sundaram (YRF) and that came out pixelated so I guess it depends on the length of the movie. I can post you some shots done by DVD Shrink if you'd like.

BTW DVD Shrink 3.1.1 Final is out now apparently geared towards P4 with Hyper Threading technology computers but will still work with slightly older computers as well but just slower. Hey I have a Celeron 1ghz! :nervous:

BTW a member over at DVD Shrink Forums made an excellent website to show a comparison between a DVD Done with DVD Shrink 2.3, DVD Shrink 3 Beta 5, TMPGEnc CBR and TMPGEnc VBR versus the Original DVD. You can zoom into different areas and check out different dvd shots:

rightio.. i downlaoded DVD2One v1.4 today.. and its easily the best one click program to convert DVDs.. DVDShrink is awful and its too pixelated compared to DVD2ONE...

i gave the long winded CCE method a go today... and i have to say its one of the longest procedures ever.. it took approximately 20 Hours for a full disc to be converted from DVD9 to DVD5.. and seeming i had 5 dvds to convert.. i didnt bother trying the other 4... anyway DVD2ONE v1.4 is the best out there.. so im sticking to it!!

I have heard alot of good things for DVD2One but dont use it because it does what it says, entire DVD 2 one DVD5. It doesnt allow you to alter compression to different parts of the DVD giving the main movie better PQ. Ultimatly it comes down to what you eyes like best and works best for you.

Shrink 3.1.2 is now out and fixes a bug which the previous version had (3.1 final and 3.1.1).

Always found Shrink to be ok in terms of quality. The worst I have seen is DVDXCopy. I downloaded a trial version to compare picture quality and it was very bad. Blocking was evident.

You could strip the main movie using DVD Fab or similar tool and then process using DVD2One.

No problem-o Asif Miyan :)

When you open Nero and selct DVD-Video it will open to windows, one on the left is the DVD-Video with an Audio_TS and Video_TS folder. Window on the right is your explorer window, from here simply navigate to the directory where all the final vobs and ifos are and select all the files and then drag them into the Video_TS folder leaving the Audio_TS folder empty. Look below for a quick snap I made for you. Then last step is to burn by clicking the burn button in Nero. If you need any more help let me know
