Looks like the same transfer on both DVDs - video quality wise. TTV are selling this as an 'uncut' version, while VS are selling it as a 2 disk set.

When The Hero was shown at cinema in the UK - it was cut by 11 seconds - according to the BBFC site;

"To obtain this category cuts of 0m 11s were required. The cuts were Cuts for Category. Distributor chose to cut sight of strong and bloody bullet impacts to man's head and to man's arm, and clear sight of headbutt - all of which are singularly focused upon. Cuts are made in accordance with BBFC Guidelines and BBFC policy in order to achieve a 12A classification. An uncut 15 was available to the distributor."

..so this TTV DVD (and mostly like the VS DVD - they look the same apart from the menus) is probably the uncut version which could have been released as a 15 cert in the UK – distributors often do this to maximise income from the box office :rolleyes:

I don't expect this DVD to be Progressive, but is it Pseudo-progressive or Field Averaged??

Is it on Gold media or or is it one of limited view DVDs??

No. That's why they had to maximise the number of kids. Anyway, I thought Sunny Deol in all those get ups was being insensitively funny about fat, singing and dancing Indian spies. Should've been banned. :p
