It's so easy to display squashed anamorphic or geometrically incorrect movies, correctly, using Power DVD.

Just alter the original picture frame by stretching horizontally, vertically or both (drag double arrow that appears when mouse is at borders of the frame). You will have to judge it yourself, though, when correct Height vs Width ratio is reached or is to your liking. May be you want to see characters somewhat slimmer or for whatever reason.

I'm sure most of Power DVD users know it, but I didn't know.

Xbox does the same - you can use the analogue controllers to stretch and set the AR as you want - but the picture is on the TV :thumbs: that powerDVD 'trick' only works if you watch movies in a window (ie not fullscreen) :doze:

So far, I used to adjust AR in a round about way. I used to change Power DVD screen settings different than my monitor's to correct squashed or stretched picture. Never occurred to me to drag the picture window borders.
