Check it out, has some decent tracks like Dholna Dholna (a fusion of bhangra and pop), Kaadhal Vettukill (a fusion of new age and tamil film sounds), Jack Jil Kathakali (a carnatic track).You however get the feeling that there are some huge influences and repetative sounds from his Hindi film sountrack like Taal, Lagaan and even Bombay Dreams.
The CDs sales have been excellent according to Ayngaran who own soundtrack and film rights. After the poor sales of Kadhal Virus and Udhayaa albums here is hoping that Rahman is back on form.
Meanwhile his protege Harris Jayeraj has released Kaake Kaake soundtrack, which features the wicked rock/arabic track Un Uriyre! IMO this is much better then the whole album of Rahman's Parasuram. Download it here
