Highest paid director?

Tejaa, who commands Rs 9 crores (Rs 90 million) per film, is one of the highest paid directors in the country.

He insists he does not make films for the money. "If I wished I could have made many films. I have directed only four films, starting with Chithram, which was about teenage pregnancy, for Ramaji Rao. It was followed by Family Circus, Nuvvu Nenu and Jayam."

His Bollywood debut, Yeh Dil (a remake of Nuvvu Nenu), starring Tusshar Kapoor and Anita, had a low-key release last week.

And people accuse the Hindi industry of getting too much money involved. I guess the south is learning fast.

He doesnt get paid that much. He produces his own films and his previous film made a huge profit. Nothing to do with his paycheck as director. Dont beleive whetever is written especially about non-hindi stuff

Yeah his movies dont deserve that much money but hisstrong point has always been ability to gauge the pulse of the audience, not making good movies. The only film he made which is worth watching is Chitram (his debut film which was made at a total cost of 40 lakhs)
