DEVDAS - TV5
If someone French speaking want to follow it up??

On April 2, 2003, I saw a 30 sec flash of DEVDAS songs and 5 sec flash of Interview with Shahrukh Khan on French Channel TV-5 (Quebec Canada).

Not knowing French, I don’t know what were they saying, but it looks like an upcoming program will feature an Interview with SK and a news story about DEVDAS.

I'm not 100% sure but I think in the morning hours (8AM -1 PM). (Showed up on VHS, and I think I taped over it now) Date is definite.

Noticed a program on TV5. At the time when it was on, according to TV Guide it was 'Ecrans monde'. As the programming is mixed up because of around the clock Irak coverage, 'Ecrans monde' may or may not be the actual program. This program was all about international movies. Most likely, Devdas will be covered in this program.

So, to catch Devdas coverage, I'm going to program my VCR for next few weeks, whenever 'Ecrans monde' is indicated in TV Guide.

Now, you casn guess, how and why I record on VHS. I was after some other clip at that time where I picked up Devdas 30 sec. Scanning from VHS recording takes only 1/10th the time as opposed to staying glued to one channel.

Just a few words to inform you that DEVDAS was released in French theatres last Wednesday (April 2nd 2003).It gets 50 copies in France. Less than blockbusters (which usually get 800 copies) but better than the latest VERY awaited Takeshi Kitano's movie (Dolls - 40 copies)

So, the clip I saw must have been a clip of the next TV5 program 'Ecrans monde' .'Ecrans monde' is a weekly 1/2 hour program like 'Entertainment Tonite'. They must have inluded the news about Devdas being released in theatres in France.

I'll try to catch the next 'Ecrans monde' program this Thursday. I doubt, I'll see the Devdas coverage. Most likely it was last week, before the French release.

BTW, Shahrukh Khan flash captioned him as 'Comediene'.
