they said, story and screen play by mani ratnam..not gulzar, diologues by gulzar..

But they didn't mention that it was based on another film, so someone who had never heard of Alai Payuthey would think that Saathiya was an original story. Not that people didn't know that it was a remake, but a credit on the film itself should be done, just like when Hollywood films remakes.

Rani's sister was kinda cute, good!

i agree with your comment about rani's sister, but your comment about rani? :keh:

arsh, watch the songs "saathiya" and "chupke se" five times each and then come back to us with what i hope will be a new and improved report on rani's beauty.

I thought Rani looked her absolute best in Saathiya, better than that ugly old hag Madhuri has ever looked :tounge: .

Saying that, Rani still vacillates from extremely beautiful to very ordinary at times (CCCC, HDJPK etc.). But she definitely got the girl next door look down in this movie and was very attractive.

This DVD was AWESOME! I had absolutely no problems, and everyone that saw it loved the cinematography and the colours. The film was the best of the year after Company and TLOBS!

And don't you just love Madhuri and that song 'Que Sera Sera'? That's a favourite!

No, Vivek Oberoi has the boy next door look. Tusshar has definitely mastered the 'boy from the gutter' look though along with Uday Chopra, stripper from Style, and the likes.

Please, please watch some Hollywood DVDs. If you're afraid of watching corrupting stuff, then there are plenty of Disney flicks out there............

Kishi, go rent Pearl Harbor. Yeah, I know the movie sucks, but it is a reference disc, and if you compare it to Saathiya or any Indian DVD, even DEI, you will see the difference.

The worst american DVD is probably better than 99.9% of Indian DVDs but saathiya was pretty good compared to other Indian DVDs!!

if saathiya was just another mediocre hindi movie and rani mukherji just another mediocre actress, then i'd forgive prasad digital. but both saathiya and rani deserve much much better. this dvd has to have some of the most oversaturated colours i've seen on a dvd (see vivek's red shirt just before the song "saathiya" - it glows) and there is very little detail during motion. now i know how you older people feel when your classics have been crapped on by eros/yrf and the rest of them.
