Vishal Bharadwaj to Make Miya Maqbool

After the tremendous acclaim and the success at various international film festivals for "Makdee", Vishal Bharadwaj is now planning a very ambitious project.
Titled "Miya Maqbool", the movie is based on Shakespeare´s "Macbeth". From an intelligent and novel plot of "Makdee" to something as big as "Miya Maqbool", Vishal Bharadwaj seems to be in a very ambitious mode.
But what takes the cake is the cast that Bharadwaj has assembled. The movie will have Naseeruddin Shah and Om Puri in stellar roles. Tabu has also been identified to play the female lead in the movie.
Irfan Khan, who has been on a high since the international success of Asif Kapadia´s "Warrior", will also play an important role in the movie. If reports are to be believed, Irfan will be replacing Kay Kay Menon, who was the first choice for the role.
From the music composer in "Maachis" who enthralled the audience with his "Chappa Chappa Charkha Chale" and "Chood Aaaye hum yeh galiyan", Vishal Bharadwaj has indeed come a long way!
