Gulzar had only written the lyrics for the movie....it was not directed by him, Manick Chatterjee was the director, even the dialogues were not by him.....Dinesh Thakur had penned them of a story written by him too....so technically not a Gulzar movie....but NEVERTHELESS a decent movie.

Well, u r an EXPERT on GULZAR!, music/lyrics were simply FABULOUS! what a theme!

Now, from meera, to parichay, to khushboo, to ghar..EROS has it!

I hope they dont get KINAARA!! i loved that film, simply BEAUTIFUL!

I love the songs of Ghar........don't remember seeing the movie.

And I've never seen Kinara either.....whats it about?

By the way - is there any decent DVD release of Mausam?

Jeetandra (and his brother Prasan Kapoor-Tirupati Pictures) produced 3 films for Gulzar to direct 'Parichay', 'Khushboo' and 'Kinara'. All three were distinctly terrific movies but only 'Parichay' was the hit they got. Which is why their association ended with the last one is what I think.

'Kinaara' is in recent times remade as 'Dil Ka Rishta' (I believe). need i go more into details...it is a fine story and RD gave some superb music.....

I recently saw some song sequences from MAUSAM on Zee Gold which were of really good quality.....so that leads me to hope that there is indeed a DVD of some quality out there....

Kinaara, was fabulous, film, I still, love to hear its songs, with diologues and gulzar's commentary!DKR, btw, even inspired was a shit film, if u ask me?

Aish, cant carry a film on her own..period!

Mausam, is one of Sharmila's best role! songs are very good too!I did not see mausam dvd either, so kinaara and mausam, dont tell, eros!

She did another simillar film, like mausam..CHRITRAHEN! SPELLING? IT WAS GOOD FILM TOO, GOOD SONGS!

aNOTHER HEMA/JEETU FILM, I REMEMBER LIKNG WAS DULHAN!!
