I'm betting the screenshots are the problem here.

I've rented the JDMGRH, Jism, Kucch To Hai, Saathiya, and Dum DVD's, and they're all perfect to me, except that JDMGRH and Dum have scenes where the screen turns blue-ish on and off. Besides that, there is no problem, and someone made the Saathiya DVD look really bad, I never saw any shaking or skipping like on the Road DVD, which there was none.

So I'm guessing the Baaz DVD has great quality

The problem isnt the screenshots - it's the fact that you don't watch American movies. Check out a couple of American DVDs, and you'll be able to see the difference in quality.

The problem I do have with Indian DVD's is the colour. It's so dark in the night scenes. That is the only problem I have with them besides the adverts that you can't FF!

Today's NTSC TV clips of BAAZ indicated Pseudo-prog pic. So, DVD should be at least Pseudo-prog, may be Progressive if we are lucky.

I don't care if the DVD is triple-progressive, it still looks like crap. Look at the blurry picture and overall dull appearance in those shots; lucky is not the word that comes to my mind.

MalFUnXiON, I consider it lucky if we get a Progressive DVD or even a Pseudo-prog DVD as 90% of the new Indian DVDs have have taken a quality tumble using WRONG Tele-cine transfer.
