You can just call me Kishi. It's my real name.

The music of this film grew off me. Wot was the big deal about it? Nothing to shout about! Honestly, I think that Kasoor was a much better album that DCH!

DCH was an excellent film and an important landmark in Bollywood film making and not forgetting Lagaan too. A genre like DCH was for first time handled maturely and sensitively.

Muz, does your copy have a BBFC certificate on the cover? I saw a new version here in the US recently, and I think it had the triangular BBFC PG certificate on it.

Hi - yes my copy has the triangular BBFC cert on it.

Also at least the sub-titles have been fixed so I can now show the move to more non-hindi speakers without having to translate the sub-titles!

what was wrong with the subtitles in the previous releases?

Towards the end of the film the English sub-titles went off the screen - check out the 'Tanhaiyi' song - there are a few lines there where you can't read the beginning and end of the subs.

I picked this DVD up from Raj Deep videos - it should cost £15 but I got it for £10 as I buy a lot of stuff from them.

This is quite hard. I don't have too many favourites, but I'll name films I've seen with repeat value...

FILMS WITH REPEAT VALUE I ENJOYED
Ishq
Lajja
Gadar
Sholay
Gunaah
Bichhoo
Yaadein
Ghulam
Humraaz
Zubeidaa
Bawander
Chandni Bar
Deewangee
Mission Kashmir
Monsoon Wedding
Mujhse Dosti Karoge
Hum Apke Hain Koun
Kuch Kuch Hota Hai
Haseena Maan Jayegi
Chori Chori Chupke Chupke

I can name a few more, but this will take a long time. I keep my variety diverse, because I don't stick to one genre!

Ali, I'm pretty sure I've seen even another one. Only one of those covers is decent looking. And it sure ain't the brown one!

The new version I have is the one with Aamir holding the fish. I have never seen the version with the brown cover - maybe this is the US release of the new version? Best thing to check is to see whether it has Arabic and Hebrew subtitles. One thing I noticed when watching my new version is that there is a lot more dust on the print then I remember from my previous versions - which is a shame. I can't compare between versions as all of my other discs don't work anymore.

The new disc is still working! :D
