whys every1 sooo excited bout kaante. yeah, the songs r great, cast is DYNAMITE (actually just AB is dynamite, others r soso, and sunil shetty is shit) and i def wanna c reservoir dogs redone in hindi..... BUT AND IT IS A BIG BUT... Sanjay Gupta, i can't make a decent movie even if my life depended on it, is the director.... gimme the name of 1 good movie the man has made since his career started.

hameshaa was the only 1 bearly tolerable but others stank... dunno why pritish nandy would let this guy squander his money on a movie that is unlikely to live up to even mediocre expectations....

worse still, i recently heard that ab has dropped madhur bandarkar's police force... so he's got time to do a jackass gupta flick, but no time for bhandarkar? where's the justice in this world???? :ffs: :ffs:

I am in total agreement with you on this. I mean I fail to understand why anyone would be so excited about a movie from one of the most atrocious directors in Indian cinema. Personally I can't think of even one decent film from this guy and this is inspite of him having the best of the Indian film industry talent available to him, including big budgets.

Going slightly off topic, even though Chandni BAr is a supposedly good film (not seen it yet), how come everyone has forgotten Madhur Bhandarkar's first movie, Trishakti, starring Arshad Warsi and Milind Gunaji???

just heard kaante will not make it on the 13th and i believe it will not even make the 20th with saathiya lets wait and see. when anil kapoor heard the news that kaante has been postponed again he was quite happy as it will give rishtey better chance of success.

according to the woodside cinemas site, it's releasing on the 27th, at least that's when woodside is showing it.

woodside cinemas

the site uses frames so i can't give you the exact link. just click "Woodside Cinema" on the left sidebar, then scroll down after the page loads.

according to the media he dropped out off Police Force because the story line was similar to Raj Kumar Santoshi's Khaki..

as for Kaante, why would it be delayed any futher? the censor board has cleared it. wasn't that the last formality? what could possibly delay it now?

and i do agree with the rest of you, Sanjay Gupta is a sh*t director. Kumar Gaurav & Mahesh Majereker are in it for all the wrong reasons. its the hype & the curiousity that makes it a much awaited film. oh..and mailaika :baaa:

I've just spoken to the manager of the cinema chain releasing the movie in South Africa and he has confirmed that they have received notice from the producers that kaante is now releasing on the 20th!!!

i actually hope it releases on the 20th.. mainly cos im kinda busy around the 13th and not only that Yeh Dil Aapka Hua is releasing on the 13th at all major cinemas.. not only will Kaante rip this movie to shreds, it will make distributers think twice when putting a pakistani movie on the big screen!!

The real reason for Kaante's delay is that Sanjay Gupta is waiting for his Reservoir Dogs Anniversary Edition DVD to arrive from Amazon...so he can reshoot scenes in Kaante having a DVD player and TV on the set. Apparently, the earlier release of this DVD didn't have good enough picture quality for Gupta to properly conceive the scenes.

And what's the reason for the delay this time? "Actually, the distributors in other countries didn't want to make it on the 13th. They are superstitious about the date [Friday the 13th]". - Raju Patel :bangbang:
