I got this dvd player and have enjoyed many indian dvds that I used to have problem watching. It was a real pleasure watching Trishul (DEI) without any hitch. The player also has great sound and dialogue enhancer.

Just got the rp82 which is one model and higher and the additional features above the rp62 are:

DVD-Audio
DD/DTS Decoding
Optical and Coax Digital Output
5.1 Channel Analogue Output

Other than that the same as the rp62. For some reason I had problems playing the DEI version of Badal (Bobby Deol) on my old rv31 and same problem again on this player, the rp82. Pardesi, if you have Badal DEI does it play on your player? Anyone else have a Panasonic DVD Player that does not play Badal DEI? Interesting to find out why it does not play.

Sorry, I do not have the Badal dvd.
The reason for my recommendation, this is a superv dvd player with an error correction and a great chip and all this for under $170 bucks. Before this I had trouble watching DEI
titles. The dvds usually froze during the second half of the movie(Border, Aandhi, Ek Rishta, Trishul, HSSH etc). Now when I play these dvds, they play WITHOUT any hitch.
