The DVD:

* Tip Top Release
* OAR in Anamorphic
* 5.1 Sound
* Very good video
* Running time approx 3hrs 5mins
* Full Chapter Stops
* Full Song Selection
* Interactive moving menu similar to that of DEI standard
* Choice of 16:9 friendly subtitles or unfriendly 16:9 subtitles

To me it looks like a release from DEI

I bought it locally for $23 Canadian

I really wish my DVD Rom was working right now!!!!!!!

Okay guys some sad news, the DVD says 5.1 but on my system which is a 5 speaker system and 5.1 DVDs like Kaho Naa Pyar Hai sound amazing, but this DVD has only the center speaker involved the rest have a slight hissing sound. the video is good though.

The DVD was locally at Sahib Video:
2887 Jane Street, North York, ON M3N 2J5
(416)633-4249

This guy does sell pirates but is very honest and will tell you. Pirate DVDs he will not tell you about unless he is sure you wont rat him out and will tell you which have a good print and are worth it. He told me this DVD was very good for video but could not comment on the sound. I bought because of a couple of reasons:

* Current DVD out is from T-Series
* If ERO$ come out with it the video will suck and ditto with the sound

Faddy Yaar,

I am trying to get the damn DVD Rom working ....

The DVD very well might be a pirate but a good pirate. You remember the Mr.India DVD pirate? It is much better than that. Colors are better, has some artifacts that are visible. I watched about 1hr last night and I will not say that it is like Kaho Naa Pyar Hai but it is not that bad either. The audio too bad though, only coming from the center speaker and slight hissing from the others. The menu is well done as well. The DVD is definetly better that the crap the ERO$ put out!!!

The official Tip Top version of Ek Rishtaa (1 disc) had no certification on it either, and had not for sale in UK and Europe on the back........so this could be official.

The only thing that makes me think it's a pirate is that they've used Tip Top Entertainment instead of Tip Top Video which they've used on previous releases. Maybe they're just trying to dodge taxes :p

This is the problem with Bootleg copies. These are cheater copies. I have seen lots of titles with Anamorphic, DD, DTS etc. all kind of specs on the covers having none in the content. You can't even complain to any one; DVD makers use made up addresses or just use somebody else's name.

OK, a quick update on the Shahenshah DVD. I e-mail Tip Top Video to ask about it, and here is the reply which I got:

Dear Bhaskar

I apologise for the delay in reply.

Shahenshah has been released by us in America and it will be released in
UK very soon.

TTE and TTV are part of the same organisation.

Yours sincerely
Tip Top Entertainment

So Jolly, it looks like your 'sources' were wrong on this one.
