I just got this DVD and wanted to make sure that it worked correctly. I did a search but could not find the thread that has the list of chapters that had the skipping problem.

Could someone please point me in the right direction.

Thanks

Hi,

If DCH stands for Dil Chahta Hai, I just saw the DVD. An excellent film. The disc I saw had no skipping problems. One of the best looking DVDs I have seen in quite a while.

I believe that the chapter insert in the DVD was incorrect, with fewer chapter stops than on the actual disc.

It does stand for Dil Chahta Hai. I just got it recently and I looked up the different forums but could not find the correct thread.

I remember some discussion on it from when it was first released that there were some problems on some machines. Also the one I got is a different cover then the one posted on the review and when I found the thread, the pictures didn't show up.

Maybe Ali or some of the other folks could point me to the right place.

I also got the one with the purple cover from Indiaweekely...
but surprisingly that dvd did not have the inlay card as well as the film postcards...Morever the disc had scratches on it and ran very bad in chapters 4 & 5. I called up Afzal and sent the disc back to him. He has already sent a replacement...and also credited my shipping charges :)
Lets see how that goes...I will keep u updated...

I got my replacement copy from Indiaweekly yesterday (Spark/Soven with the purple cover)...This is unbelievable guys..they mailed it to me on 9th and I got it on 9th wow in 2 days  . This was the fastest delivery to me from Afzal.

I ran thru the troubled chapters indicated in the thread..Looked smooth...no freezing no skipping...So I guess Media Inc. have rectified their errors :D

I returned my DCH dvd 3 times and each time I returned it there were pixilation problems, especially after the bit where they leave Sameer in Goa with the white girl!
In the end the guys in the video shop told me that many people have returned the DCH dvd's and that ALL the dvd's are faulty and most people got tired of returning them, that they just accepted the faults in the end. So that's what I did, I acceped a faulty DCH dvd.

But when I hear that some of you guys have the same DCH dvd's with no faults whatsoever, it makes my blood boil!

I finally watched it this weekend and it was perfect. I am talking about skipping etc. I had no problems. There was a slight skip going from chapter 13 - 14 then they are dropping Sid after Tara's b'day party.

Although I didn't get any cards or inlay with my DVD. There was absolutely nothing insde the box except the 2 discs.
