DVD Bit Capacity Avail/ Used??

Single Layer Double Layer

I was wondering how to find how much of DVD bit space has been used. Hopefully, this info can be found using Power DVD.

I want to see how much of the bit space Indian DVDs use.
Arsh pointed out about Koyla (SD) single layer DVD to have 4-8 Mbps along with 484 kbps audio. I was wondering how is it possible, until I found another SD DVD Gharwali Baharwali. It too had similar bit rate on single layer DVD. These bit rates are roughly the same as we see them on majority of the Dual Layer DVDs. I was just curious to see how much more dual layer DVD capacity exists that could have been used to provide higher bit rates for the main feature (I hope they don’t use it for the extras and for adverts at high bit rates).

If you’re talking bit rates (not heard of anything such as ‘bit space’ :keh: ) there is a simple yet very effective viewer available on http://www.visualdomain.net/ - bit rates on DVDs fluctuate vigorously depending on the content that is encoded.

I miss doing screen grabs but my DVD Rom, like I said before, if shot sometimes it works and sometimes it does, its a hit and miss case. Khamoshi does not even play in my ROM anymore....
