Can someone confirm or speculate quickly about these 2 "today's special" DVDs at IW.

Yes Boss on sale at IW shows Super Digital in picture. Description says it has subtitles. Which version is it??

Ishq has no indication of Super Digital in the pic. Description doesn't mention subtitles. Is it SD version??

Thanks.

Yes boss is by video sound. not super digital (i think)
Ishq is also by video sound. dont think this was ever available under super digital.

Well,Afzal may or may not know. Knowing in advance helps. Satya, Arsh or anybody with this info??

Ambiguity in both these DVDs is that the picture info and description info conflict. So, it could be either of the two versions??

IW site has Yes Boss picture clearly showing SUPER DIGITAL. But it also shows it to be the subtitled version which SD is not, I think.

Arsh has SD version of ISHQ.

Rana,

Yes Boss, IW clearly indicates the following:
Brand/Distributor VideoSound

i have the video sound Yes Boss which does have the subtitle.
so i thought that may be video sound over the SD.

hope this helps.

VS is the rightholders and SD are the original Authors for the orig release of those DVDs from VIDEO SOUND. Like DEI-EROs. VS product can be a SD version as well.

i know that Rana. but thanks for the info
but in another thread, the way they differtiated the interlaced/progressive dvds by indicating the dvd with subtitles indicating as video sound interlaced, and the one without subtitles indicating as super digital progressive.

so i was saying the dvd is by video sound, tried to use the same theory as the other thread. i once had some superdigital dvds which video sound has the rights, but no indication of video sound on the cover (atleast not that i noticed.)

Make it simple:

Yes Boss - Super Digital -> No Subtitles
Ishq - Super Digital -> No Subtitles

Yes Boss - Video Sound -> Subtitles in 4 Languages Almost Full Screen Video
Ishq - Video Sound -> Subtitles

Talked to Afzal at IW.
These are VIDEO SOUND versions as they are the right holders, not Super Digital. There is no mention of Super Digital, or who authored them, on these DVDs, as normal on new crop of VS DVDs.

Too bad. No luck that we could get the SD versions.

Yesterday, YES BOSS was $2.99 today is ISHQ, this version still does have subtitles, so might not be the PROG version, give it a TRY!! :baaa:

I don't think Video-sound hold rights for these films any more as the five year contract (1997 - 2002) has expired. EROS has snapped them up and have already released Ishq and Yes Boss on DVD. I have no idea about the quality though...

So, that's why these are on clearance sale. No matter who has the rights, I only want the progressive ones. I am sure I will find them. If these progressive ones have become pirated titles, then it will be even easier to find them.
