****Well, this special correspondent places SHAKTI in OCTOBER, and DECLARES N-S as the BIGGEST underdog! along with the LOUSY GUNAH being a WINNER!!

Preity on Dil Hai Tumhaara, Gunaah Surprises, Shakti Postponed

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Despite being one of Nadeem-Shravan´s more mediocre efforts, Tips films are once again gleaming with the success of the soundtrack for Dil Hai Tumhaara. The soundtrack is currently topping the sales charts. Tips films attributes this to the on going road shows for the film.

A drastic re-strategy was taken for Dil Hai Tumhaara. The film is not going to have a magnanamous release and is banking on the Raaz strategy come September 6th. With the audio sales of the soundtrack topping the charts, they are already halfway there.

Preity Zinta recently commented on the film. The actress is truly excited about it and says that the film has everything. "A lot of craziness, humour from the main leads, and a lot of emotional scenes." She mentioned that she had a great deal of fun working with Rekha and Mahima and once the audience sees the film they will understand how fun it was. She also concluded with the statement, "If you miss the film, it will be your loss".

Meanwhile, Mahesh Bhatt and Sony Music are on par in their on going promotional campaign for Gunaah. The intriguing promos have shot the soundtrack a great deal on the India Audio Sales Chart. Sony Music seems to have a lot to do with it.

With the audio for Shakti scheduled for a release on August 30th, Boney Kapoor commented on the question of having barely a month for the soundtrack to pick up. This has always been something Tips (the audio rights holder) have been against. It is now strongly believed that Shakti will not be seen until early October.

FIRE BRIGADE alert!!

'Shakti will set the screens on fire'
Boney Kapoor on what makes him confident about his new film.

Boney Kapoor loves taking risks. Despite having the famous Kapoors as relatives (his father Surinder Kapoor is Hindi cinema legend Prithviraj Kapoor's cousin), he started his career as a producer with a simple, offbeat film Hum Paanch.

Soon, he took another risk by launching his brother Anil in another modest film Woh Saat Din. Both gambles paid off. Boney Kapoor had arrived in Hindi cinema.

Then he made Mr India, a blockbuster which was originally written with Amitabh Bachchan in mind, but finally performed by Anil. This one was a stupendous success.

He set his sights higher with Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja, one of the most expensive films made in India at the time. It fell flat. Followed Prem, which introduced his youngest brother Sanjay, which didn't do well either.

Two other disasters lay in store --- Raat and Drohi. Kapoor nevertheless bounced back with Loafer, Judaai and Sirf Tum. He further consolidated his position with Pukar and, more recently, Company, though not before he stumbled with Hamaara Dil Aapke Paas Hai and Koi Mere Dil Se Pooche.

Now, he is ready with another film, Shakti -- The Power. Another risk, one would assume, with its uncoventional starcast --- Nana Patekar, Karisma Kapoor, Deepti Naval, Sanjay Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan (in a cameo) and Aishwarya Rai (in a special appearance......continued.

dograk !! puppy yaar! CD is out!

Karisma Kapoor: Woman Power
She may not be in the news off late, but those who have had sneak peek at Boney Kapoor's Shakti The Power can't stop gushing over Karisma Kapoor looks and her sterling performance in the film. Heard people say that she will be back with a bang. It stands to be Karisma's best performance to date. Besides the Kapoor lass, people even can't stop raving about the Ash-Shahrukh hot number. They really sizzle together, must say!
