Shah Rukh Impresses In Shakti

When he became the first mainstream hero to play an anti-hero in Yash Chopra's Darr, there were many who cautioned him. But SRK had the last laugh when he walked away with all the applause.
Shah Rukh has once again proved that it's not the length of the role that matters. In Boney Kapoor's Shakti, The Power, where he makes a special appearance, Shah Rukh walks away with all the laurels. Those who have seen the preview of Shakti have been raving about SRK's performance in this film which also stars actors of the calibre of Nana Patekar and Karisma Kapoor.
Shakti is Shah Rukh's and Karisma's second film together after Dil To Pagal Hai. Shah Rukh plays a rakish yet heroic character who helps Nandini (Karisma) in her quest for a secure future for her son. SRK's character appears only in the second half of the film and is said to dominate the last 7 reels.
