just saw it...
typical vide sound/eros BS... along with an extremely BS movie... courtesey of Mr. BS himself, David Dhawan.
I can't believe how bad the dubbing in the movie is(i don't mean the audio is out of sync). You'll see a gun fire, and hear the "dishoom" a second later...LAME.

For knowledge of NATH!
It is in VIDEO! mode! by VIDEO SOUND= interlaced!

Film, I'll kinda rate..5-6/10, this time, I concur with BUdhu of INDOLINK!

Second half is better with some CHUCKLES and Situational Comedy!

First half, makee u LOOK and wait for those, as u are watching a DD film!but still u dont find it!

It is better than YHJ/HKKN, but it tries to become BMCM< but does not even get close!

Just way, too many , HUMSHAKALS, STUPID, MUSH!! But!! WATCHABLE! U wont REPENT it!

Bipasha! why she is there! I dont know? May be for EXTRA OOMPH only!

Shitty girl, is as EVER!
Boby..is OK!
Paresh..gets better when his HUMSHAKAL comes!but his role does not even close to his APD/AANKHEN roles!

Songs are picturised well!! But they pop up as unwanted WEB ADS!

DVD! mediocre!only!

TRivia Question?
***Q. If u have seen CMS, who GOT this one"BLACK AND WHITE KUTTA LOG"????
:tounge:

PETTY THIEVERY IN THE MAKING OF 'CHOR'

Critic's I-View

The verdict on 'Director No.1' is finally in. If 'Chor Machaye Shor' is anything to go by, David Dhawan is running out of ideas. It is difficult to bring to mind his last hit. What is easier to remember is that his last multi-star film, 'Hum Kisise Kum Nahin', was a direct copy of 'Analyze This'. And now, 'Chor Machaye Shor' is a straight lift of 'Blue Streak', with Bobby Deol playing a desi Martin Lawrence.

This is Bobby's third attempt at comedy after 'Kareeb' and 'Love Ke Liye Kucch Bhi Karega' and he seems to have picked up a few tips from his childhood friend Govinda. The film has considerable support from veterans Paresh Rawal and Om Puri, who try their level best to conceal the many loopholes in the narration.

The film purports to be a comedy with a bit of crime thrown in to spice things up, rather in the manner of 'Chori Mera Kaam' and 'Victoria No.203' in the past. But the way Dhawan handles things it turns out to be your traditional Bollywood bhelpuri, with a lot of masala stuff thrown into the mix.

The film lacks a convincing story idea and the 'credit' for this must go to Yunus Sajawal. The basic plot is out in the first half-hour and after that the film just plods along. Shekhar Suman stirs up some curiosity initially but later on he is just a hindrance in the flow of the story. He looks downright cheap in his female avatars and this was hardly the film for him to make his big screen comeback.

Technically, though, the film passes muster with some decent cinematography from Harmeet Singh, choreography from Ganesh Acharya and action sequences from Abbas Ali Moghul. Where it is found wanting is in the dialogue department (Anwar Khan) and music (Anu Malik).

On the acting front, the veterans stand out. The chemistry between Paresh Rawal and Om Puri is superb and this pair is responsible for putting up a great rescue act. Bobby Deol tries to do his job manfully but when it comes to slapstick, he is not in the same league as Govinda or even a Salman Khan. Every new actor in David's films will always be judged by the standards of 'Coolie No.1', 'Hero No.1', 'Judwa' and 'Biwi No.1', films made in David's prime.

Kareeb and Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega?!? :baaa: :stupid:

Kareeb was a love story, and LKLKBK didn't even star Bobby Deol - should this person even be reviewing movies?

I wonder if (s)he watched CMS or something else!!!!
