Hey All!

I know I've said I'll post screenshots of 12B but never got to it. Now I'm free for a month so I'll do more!

These screenshots were taken with PowerDVD, and I don't know if I should be using something else. It seems a little jerky but the caps should be fine!

12B has a pretty innovative storyline that only suffers from too much 'masala.' It shows both lives of our hero as he would have made either one of two choices.

Enjoy! and suggest.....

You know that line sent few bells ringing - even though I've not seen either - but its sounds like a copy of Sliding Doors ???

its a remake of the film sliding doors and actually I thought 12B was better. 12B, does have its flaws mainly being slightly too masala, (and IMHO quite controversial about the subpolt which looks at an uncle who wishes to marry his niece). The film is both quiet and sensitive during some scenes in dealing of the two varied lifes of the main character. Also I like Simran's performance in the film, and the cinematograhpy was stunning!

Sliding doors was good but didn't attain my intrest for a second viewing, which 12B did. But then I am a bit of a gaada :baaa:

I read a few reviews of this film and they were all negative. They said it was confusing. Was it that bad? I'm really interested, though, because this breaks out of the traditional family-oriented film.

Confusing.......? not too much really. You just have to follow the storyline carefully. And the movie isn't bad at all. It's actually pretty interesting.

Opinions on zulm.net are known to differ from other sites anyways! But honesty counts more here I think!

For those interested, Sliding Doors is on BBC1 today @ 22:55 (xmas day) – UK only (I think – unless you can BBC channels abroad!).

Avoid Pyramid DVDs, though. If it's in color, they don't know how to make it look halfway good. Their black and white DVDs are better, but they are still crap. The subtitles on their subtitled discs are way too wordy and are often awkwardkly worded.

Ayngaran's much better though. For a good classic Tamil comedy, check out "Kathalikka Neramillai," available from Ayngaran. It's a very lighthearted, creative, fun film that doesn't resort to overdone melodrama.

Noted cinematographer Jeeva is back after 12 B with Ullam Ketkume that was earlier titled Pepsi. The film is a colourful entertainer with peppy songs and excellent visuals.

The story is set in a college campus with five friends Pooja (Laila), Eman (Arya), Priya (Asin), Shaam (Shaam) and Irene (Pooja). This fun-loving group known as PEPSI take the audience down the memory lane. There is friendship, romance and sacrifice in the film and the idea conveyed is – “To achieve something, we has to sacrifice something else in life”.

There is no separate comedy track and the five friends along with 10 other students make the entire movie hilarious. There is an inter-college cultural programme that occupies most of the scenes in the film. For this more than 100 college students have taken part in the shooting. On the whole Ullam Ketkumae is aimed at the all types of audience.

The cast also has Srinath, Abhimanyu, Kailash, Vishaal, Vaendan, Japan Kumar, Deepa, Harini, Priyanka and Sangeetha. Lyrics of Vairamuthu are tuned by Harris Jayaraj. Thotta Tharani is the art director and he has erected a five star college that resembles Karan Johar type of Bollywood films. Raju Sundaram has choreographed all the five peppy songs with John Travolta style of dancing. A cultural song has been choreographed with students from different states. One of the songs was shot at the ‘hot water spring’ in New Zealand. Dialogues are by Sujatha and Vikram Dharma is the stunt master.
