Thats one thing that irritates me, about Chopra, Johar & Bartajya.....They all take so long to make and release films.
Ok Karan Johar was a 3 year wait, but Aditya took 5 years and came up with Mohabbatein  !!!!!!

And another thing whats wrong with that geezer, why does he never do interviews or show his face? Has anyone ever seen his face? ???

???
I think that both directors will make something else, i read somewhere that Aditya will make a thriller of some sort next!

Karan Johar made KKHH from the heart & K3G from the brain
Aditya made Mohabbatein from the heart & DDLJ from the brain

Although i think Mohabbatein was very well made, i still think it could've been better! But some people on this forum seem to think it was poorly made!!

If u don't like a movie it doesn't mean it's poorly made!!
:(

Karan Johar gets my nod. DDLJ was good but DTPH (which Aditya wrote) and Mohabattein were pretty weak. KKHH and K3G were both solid entertainers. I just wish Amitabh's role was bigger in k3g, but the in the last scene....he gave an acting clinic.

Having finally seen K3G last night my conclusion is that Karan Johar and Aditya Chopra are even for now. Considering 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Lejayenge' was superior to 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' whereas 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham' is better than 'Mohabatein'.
I guess we will have to wait for their next film to decide who is better. But if I had to choose, I would give a slight edge to Karan if only because of how poor Mohabatein is.

Just trying to help you correctly say what you wanted to. Earlier it was difficult to make out what you were saying.

Rajshri's MPKDH is still around 10% finished. The films major portion of shooting doesn't commence until late 2002 early 2003, thus planned for a diwali 2003 release.
Dharma Production's (the johars) next film is untitled staring Shahrukh Khan, one more hero (likely Vivak Oberoi) and 2 heroins (and its a thriller), the film will be directed by Nihkil A. the assistant director of kkhh, mohabbatein, & k3g.
Yashraj Films is producing a film called Mujsa Dosti Karogie? with HRithik, Kareena & rani mukherjee, directed by newcomer Kuku Kolhi.
No official news as to what Yash Chopra or Aditya Chopra's next directorial ventures are? but chances are that Shah Rukh Khan will lead the cast in there films.

I bet you that most women will prefer KKHH over DDLJ - I thought DDLJ got dragged down in the second half, as SRK's character acted like an asinine idiot, while KKHH had a rather epic feeling created by the flashbacks and eight-year narrative span. Though I love DDLJ and prefer its music, I consider KKHH a more "complete" feeling film.

Mohabbatein just sucked. I could barely sit through it. I am still amazed that it did so well.

K3G worked largely on the basis of its stars' charismatic appeal. If six unknowns had played these roles, we would have been snoring. As it was, the film was eye-candy and highly enjoyable. But that does not mean it was a great film.

I believe Karan Johar is ahead, if only because Aditya's DDLJ came out centuries ago in "industry time." Unfortunately, I fear Karan Johar will never again reach KKHH's heights, because he seems to be angling for The Great Bollywood Entertainer rather than The Great Story, and the first never happens unless the second is the prime consideration.
