I had just seen this Tamil film called Thulluvatho Ilamai and I have to admit it is the first ever Indian film I have seen that looks at the issue of Sex and Durgs within school girls and boys aged 16 studying in India. Dispite some filmy and vulgar elements the film gives an outlook on themes many of us could relate too in our school days. From noticing the body changes we go through, and trying it on with the buffest girl in your class!

Shot on a low-low budget, the technical aspect of the film are quite weak, but the film has a decent screenplay, some wonderfull performances from the young cast and a phat r'n'b/garage/hip-hop/Indian soundtrack that helps the youth to identify with the current trends of music they listen to.

Its prehaps the best teenage flick to come from India, and is worth a look! Rumors are that a Hindi remake is on the cards as the Tamil film has been running for many days on Cinema in South India and is considered to be a blockbuster hit, even overtaking the big budget film AVM's Gemini.

I hope filmfour shows this film real soon as I have been told by a realiable source that they have bought TV rights in UK, along with a few other unconventional Tamil films released from 1999 (kanathil muthamital, terrorist, sethu, mitr, alla vanhdhan, agazhi, kasi & nandda)
