as per this TOI article (http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/arti ... d=13943323) the music for DIL VIL PYAR VYAR is by RD Burman....can anyone confirm this....though the article is by Subhash Jha, normally a very trustworthy source of all filmi news(and a decent columnist) this is the first time I have heard of such a thing. Maybe i should also post a query to Panchamites on their newsgroup. However any enlightenment here too is welcome.

Well upon visiting the Pancham newsgroup (on yahoogroups.com, search for Pancham) this is what has emerged. I paste directly from a post

It appears that an assistant(Babloo Chakravarty) to RD maybe 'inspired' (aka plagiarism) by RD tunes.

I am surprised Subhash Jha did not care to confirm this unless, there is more to it than that.

I personally think, willbe redoing old tunes with new lyrics and instrumentation stuff!! but if result is like sandip chowtha's poocho na yaar from MAST!! I think it will be interesting to me!! :vsneaky: I am not hoping for a miracle here, r.d barman style!! R.D was R.d!! period, whatever u do, you can not make another 1942..a love story, soundtrack, R.D way!!!
