Asif, i browsed through it, it really appeared very sleek thriller with exc sp effects!Seeing that with very good dvd, video and sound! I'll def recomend watching at least! I have not seen the whole film yet! was busy over the weekend! I'll follow up with a definitive opinion on contents! But dvd looked really good! :baaa: I own it, It was a Gift, that appeared much more than I expected!

In the mean time, may any zulmis graciously locate a few reviews from news media or on the net?thnx  :vsneaky:

Although not perfect, "16 December" is still one of the better products out of Bombay and is definately worth a watch. For once a Hindi film that actually sticks to being just a Thriller rather than a pot pouri of everything.

Well, finished watching film,!

DVD..really well done dvd!
Video, very good(bitrate consistently,6.5-8.5)
Audio..DD5.1 very dynamic, with excellent resolution.
Extra features..Decent.

Film..Overall Time pass! But diff from routiene cinema.
suspence..that does not last much long.
Thriller..None thrills for me.
film runs on extremely low pace and very predictable and stupid plotwise at times.
Special effects and action features are done.well mostly, better than average childish hindi flick effx.

A film of this kind, in hollywood hands would do wonders.
Acting very mediocre.music, esp background..lousy.

If u want to see better flick with adrenaline/rush and thrills on nuclear bomb theft..Watch , Peace Maker. or the newer Ben aflek film.

Bollywood will never learn, how to make a different film with diff attitude and nice.

But, bottom line, I appreciate Director Mani shankar to try some thing different though/

The "making of" is a bore until they start showing some behind the scenes footage, some of which includes putting old man makeup on Gulshan Grover. The comparison between the raw footage and the touched up footage for the flashback where Gulshan and Danny look younger was also interesting.

I was entertained by "16 December," though there is nothing here I haven't seen in American films. Mani Shankar thankfully avoided flag-waving and surprisingly, didn't have Vikram falling for Sonal. I also appreciated that there were only two songs in the film.

By they way, Mani Shankar is credited for designing the SFX as well as for "compositing." What does this mean? Did he actually do some of the SFX himself?

The DVD quality, of course, was very good, and I can't wait to see more Cinebella DVDs, though I hope they don't all come in the flimsy case "16 December" came in. Agnivarsha looks awesome.
