I am not sure if everyone is exactly aware but I recently came across a lot of DVDs which over time have become real expensive on websites like Amazon, Ebay or the odd website that sells them. Basically the DVDs that were released a long time ago and were never re-released are now being sold at extortion prices when we would think that the value would go down after a while but it seems like those DVDs have become so rare that maybe 2-3 copies are floating and the usual sellers have them as out of stock. For example, Himalay Putra which was released by United (the quality was also poor) is practically non existent, except for this site being posted on people know it has been released.

Those rare DVDs that are floating around are being sold at stupid prices for example (and hold your breath):

Where once it was being sold at 0.30 cents and now being sold at that price one can think that these DVDs must be in demand and maybe the companies had made them only made a limited amount

This always happens, usually due to dvd copyright problems.
If the copyright of one DVD company expired and is not renewed or sold to another company,
the dvd is not released again, the movie dvd then becomes rare and priced at a premium.

I have been looking for dvds of many movies which were available earlier and are not available
now due to this. Its a pity many titles are lost due to copyright issues.
