BTW, anyone remembers who Chandrashekhar was. Faintly, I recall his name as hero in Hindi films. Which major films, did Chandershekhar act in??

Chandrashekar was a character actor at best...he did play lead roles in movies in the sixties....notably a movie where he employed the 'CHA CHA CHA'...i remember all this from a TV interview of his by Tabassum on DD long ago.....i believe he has played father roles in the nineties...i think he was part of the office staff entourage in SHARAABI alongwith Mukri, but am not sure....

You mention Cha Cha Cha, and I remember having seen this film. It was released in the dying days of B&W films and it wasd heavily publisized and was supposed to be a come back film for its hero (must have been Chandrashekhar). I guess, in the 50s, Chandrashekhar came as Stunt Film hero in lots of films??

Indeed he was the hero of CHA CHA CHA, which was released in 1965. In fact he even directed it. It had a reasonably popular song....'Chameli Ke Mand mein chalen....'

Dont know about stunt films though....he did play negative roles in a few films.....

Yes, that's the one.

BTW, in checking DEI Kohinoor DVD, noticed that it was a Silver disc. It freezes at ch 15 (@ layer change). So far plays OK except for 5 min of ch 15. What happens in future, keep guessing and cursing. Can't even transfer it on PC hard drive or on DVD-R. It has to be readable before I can transfer it.
