I noticed there is a new release of FireFox, version 1.5

Well, I thought I'd update my browser in hopes it would get some of the kinks out, but it only added more!! One of them being NO SCROLL BAR/BOX! I'm scrolling with the scroll button on my mouse.

it looks like a mess. I wish they fix this crap soon. or is it just me? :?

I upgraded to 1.5 a few days ago and I have a scroll bar. Maybe your image is spilling over the side of the monitor?

thats what I thought as well, and checked the monitor settings. but no go. I wonder if it's the 'skin' I'm using.....

edit: oyi vay. this thing is buggered. I tried to go to the "Options" menu. I can see 3 buttons, but can't see the rest of the window!

I too upgraded to 1.5 yesterday and have not noticed any issues. I have the scroll bar and see the UI under Options.

Did your install go through properly?

yeah, followed typical installation/upgrade rules. shut down all instances of firefox, then started the install.

looks like I might have to backup my setting and clean install :? there is also an out of place BUTTON in the address bar, when clicked doesn't seem to do anything.

check it out:

no scroll bar. look at that extra button in Addy Bar. and notice the Ok Cancel etc buttons near the bottom of the page, thats what I get when I try to access Options. also note the General Privacy Content Tabs etc... in TEXT. thats supposed to be part of the Options dialog.

Ah, you are using the Noia theme. Check out the comments page. A few people complain about disappearing scroll bars.

oh halelujah.

my mind escaped me for a little while. I was attempting to uninstall the theme by going to Options, but after you mentioned other people complaining about the theme, I realised I could install another theme :) also forgot that these are called "themes" and not skins, so when I saw the "theme" menu, I ignored it :(

anyway, I updated the theme, works fine now :) THANKS!
