While downloading some files, I get really slow download speeds (around 30kb/s), despite the file having thousands of seeds, whilst with other files, there have been around 40 seeds, and I've got download speeds of 1Mb/s - any ideas why?

hmm...many reasons. the peers might not be 'connectable' or you have a private tracker to which you aren't registered on.

torrents suck. especially bollyweird torrents. they try to emulate "Release group" structure, except the real scene is underground, and these Indian guys look like arseholes trying to get "reps". What's worse is honor among thieves. If it's really about sharing, who the )@*$ cares about "credit" to original releaser? The original releaser is the manufacturer!! sorry, little rant :P

Another bit torrent query!!! Am getting an error message that reads as follows:

09/10/2008 21:50:59 - trouble accessing files - [Errno 2] No such file or directory

Any idea why?!?!

you either
a) renamed, moved, deleted the file
b) if hosted on an external drive, it may not be connected or isn't turned on.
c) if your drive is FAT32, and not NTFS, and the file you are downloading is above 4gb, it might give this error--not sure. my client normally says that there is "not enough space on disk"

BTW, what torrent client do you use??

I'm using ABC at the moment, and as far as I know, I didn't do any of the things you mentioned - I opened the torrent and selected the save destination (my computer hard drive). Will play around with it a bit and see if I get anywhere!
