I would like to know from everyone that do they own a PS3 as yet or have they ordered one.
they could be from Canada UK USA please also add what type of model you have by that I mean is a 20GB 40GB 60GB(Hard to find) or 80GB model

Oh definitely as a Blu-ray player - I wouldn't touch anything else at the moment. PS3 is upgradable by firmware and can be updated to all these new Blu-ray profiles coming out. From what I under stand the only lacking aspect of it is the bit-stream audio output. And no doubt this year is going to be big for PS3, this Blu-ray backing is going to help it immensely.

No for time being.

I'm not too interested in these HD formats - neither HD-DVD nor Blu-ray interest me (as a buyer) - if I buy a PS3 it'll be for the games and media capabilities. Blu-ray will be a bonus. It's just the impression I get from reading various things, is that if your want to buy into Blu-ray, PS3 seems the best option to do that at the moment. If you want a games console - get Xbox360 for the hardcore games or Wii for the casual games.
