Watching the DDLJ DVd after 6 years reminds me of an era gone by. Yeah I remember this film was released, when I was in the final year of my college. Of cos I watched the film in Madras ( Chennai) and that too on the last day of its run in the theatre. Thats cos the telugu version of the Film was released in Andhra Pradesh...

Some comments also which I remember abt the film...ppl said that Parmeet Sethi looked better than Shahrukh and their roles should have been switched

This movie also has the song Ruk Ja O dil Deewane..which was inspired from a RD Burman classic song... Bachna aye haseeno...

One more small titbit of this film ( my personal experience) .. This movie was released after Hum Aapke Hain Kaun... Now I NEVER watched HAHK on the big screen and I would have probably missed DDLJ also , but for my insistence on April 25th , 1996 to go and watch a Hindi film !!!

Chaver nope..I had gone there to attend an interview for SAIl ( Steel authority of India Ltd.)..a job which I later refused ! I studied in Vizag ( Bachelors), Bangalore( Masters) and now in Ottawa (PhD).. What abt you Chaver ?....

Oh yeah one more thing abt that Film....

Achla Sachdev, was in the film and nearly 30 years ago (from the release of that film, she was also there in another Yash Chopra Blockbuster..WAQT)... The same song which Amrish Puri sings for her, was originally sung by Balraj Sahani !!! (Aye meri zihra Jabeen...tujhe Maloom Nahin !)
