this and "go" are ramu’s next 2 productions set to release. dbr is supposed to be a black comedy/thriller w/ a huge cast - Aftab Shivdasani, Manisha Koirala, Isha Sharvani, Zakir Husein, Chunky Pandey, Snehal and a bunch of other guys…

according to a recent aftab interview…
"It's basically about four guys who kidnap a builder's daughter to extort money. They put her in a Gujarati vegetarian household. She is a spoilt chic who's most excited about being kidnapped. Everybody who enters the house becomes a hostage by the end of the film. There are forty characters in the film"

it definitely is not 'money', though I can’t seem to remember what 'money money' was abt? I think I need to watch that again tonight, will get back to you..

eh, i get confused too. not sure which I watched, and if I watched both or not. they both have same cast/crew and similar plots (kidnapping). I think Love Ke Liye is a remake of one of these two films.

ya "love ke liye" was the 'money' remake. though it is interesting - ramu first signed saif for dbr but when the dates got changed up he replaced him w/ aftab - both of whom were in "lklkbk"… so I think you might be right abt this being a "money money" remake/"love ke liye" sequel

rewatched “mm”, don’t think dbr will be a remake… the kidnapping is only in the last 30mins w/ paresh, though a bunch of people do get tangled up in the kidnapping(like in the first). I think dbr is most likely inspired by certain parts of the money films(probably both)… and not surprised chakri is directing. this should be good!
