Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani Shelved?
Ever since Sanjay Leela Bhansali completed Devdas and even collected awards for it speculations are rife about his next film? So much so that Bhansali was even heard saying that the minute he opened his morning paper there was something or the other being written about him. The latest buzz being that he had shelved Bajirao Mastani for the time being and is all set to make a quickie—a thriller based on Gujrati play for which he wants Bachchan to play the lead. In fact if reports are to be believed Sanjay Leela Bhansali was in Nasik to meet Bachchan who was shooting for Khakee recently. Amitabh Bachchan has not yet given any reply to Sanjay. Few know that the director had planned this film earlier too for which he wanted to cast Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai and Vivek Oberoi but he thought of going ahead with Bajirao Mastani. Meanwhile sanjay also scoffed at the rumours that Bhumika Chawla was to Bajirao’s wife. “Nothing has been finalized yet,” he said.

It seems like Sanjay Leela Bhansali has finally found a 'Mastani' for his 'Bajirao '! And it is not a regular Bollywood actress . According to Bhansali's close associate , " Supermodel Shivani Kapoor is to play the role of Mastani (opposite Salman Khan who will play 'Bajirao') in his forthcoming venture 'Bajirao Mastani'."It seems like Sanjay Leela Bhansali has finally found a 'Mastani' for his 'Bajirao '! And it is not a regular Bollywood actress . According to Bhansali's close associate , " Supermodel Shivani Kapoor is to play the role of Mastani (opposite Salman Khan who will play 'Bajirao') in his forthcoming venture 'Bajirao Mastani'."


As may be recalled , Bhansali had originally wanted to cast Salman and Kareena in the title roles , but dropped the idea as they went ahead with 'Kyon Ki' and the novelty of Kareena and Salman being paired for the first time was lost . Bhansali even thought of shelving the project but as the subject is very close to his heart he decided to revive it and finally after three years , a 'Mastani' has been found in the form of the ravishing Shivani Kapoor , hopefully !
